CORD Leaders Plans To Disrupt UN Conference Next Week.

Police believe that CORDS leaders will plan to disrupt a UN Conference which starts Monday in the guise of their protests over the IEBC.

Police chiefs have thus placed an order in advance to have more police officers patrol the city next week in anticipation.

The conference which takes place at the United Nations Environmental Programme headquarters in Gigiri will see upto 2,000 delegates in the country and will be opened by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

CORD leaders, Police believe may plot to cause disruptions.

” There will be extra Police presence next week thanks to the UN conference. We cannot take any chances,” a senior Police officer in the know told News24.

The United Nations Environmental Assembly UNEA will see delegates from 193 countries arrive in the country.

Intelligence agencies are already on high alert in anticipation.

CORD leaders have been carrying out disruptive demonstrations which Police want to stop to kill off any chances of disruptions and delays for delegates.
