CORD Leader Raila, DP Ruto Using IEBC Crisis To Settle Personal Scores

Deputy President William Ruto and CORD leader Raila Odinga have been accused of using the IEBC crisis to settle personal political scores.

Nakuru based political analyst, Abdul Noor said that Ruto and Raila have personalised the IEBC crisis and are taking the country the wrong direction.

Noor said that Ruto is against IEBC reforms simply because he wants to hit back at Raila and his supporters while Raila is pushing for reforms as a way of punishing Ruto.

He said that the IEBC crisis will remain unresolved unless Raila and Ruto put aside their selfish and personal interests for the greater good of the nation.

“Unless Ruto and Raila stop personalising the IEBC crisis, we won’t get a solution any time soon,”said Noor.

“Ruto thinks he will use the IEBC to finish Raila and Raila wants to use the same IEBC to finish Ruto and that is what is creating the stalemate,” he said.

Noor called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to step out and offer true leadership by personally committing to resolve the IEBC impasse once and for all for the good of Kenya.

“The President must take this opportunity to cement his legacy by saving Kenya from another bloodshed over the IEBC issue.

“Let him personally deal with the IEBC issue for the interests of the nation and the people of Kenya,” he said.
