Change Won’t Come Until The 2016 Budget Is Signed – Onu

The Minister of Science and also Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu has claimed that the much predicted change in the nation will certainly not be feasible till the 2016 budget plan is authorized and also executed by the federal government.

According to Daily Trust, Onu said this during the launch of an updated edition of a book “Each Man, His Time-The Biography of An Era,” written by a former Minister of Information, Prince Tony Momoh (Yerima of Auchi Kingdom) and the celebration of his 47th marriage anniversary in Mararaba, Nasarawa State.

Onu noted that the country was still being run with the 2015 budget of former president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

“Change won’t come until the 2016 budget is signed. What we are using now is the 2015 budget which was not done by us. Our president [Muhammadu Buhari] has restored our image to the position of repute, so let’s support him,” he was quoted as saying.

This came, as reports indicated over the weekend that the delay in the signing of the 2016 budget had given Nigeria a bad image abroad.
