Cassie Accuses Ex-lover Diddy of ‘R**e and Abuse’ in Lawsuit

Cassie, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, has filed a r**e and abuse lawsuit against him.

According to the lawsuit, the R&B singer claimed that the rapper used drugs and alcohol to acquire control of her and keep her imprisoned in an abusive cycle.

She said Diddy signed her to his record label, Bad Boy, but instead of advancing her musical career, he subjected her to a life of dread and abuse.

Cassie, born Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, also claimed that the artist r*ped and abused her regularly during their 10-year relationship.

The lawsuit labels the musician a “serial domestic abuser, who would regularly beat and kick Ms Ventura, leaving black eyes, bruises, and blood”.

In her statement, Cassie said “after years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story.

“To speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”

Diddy, on the other hand, has refuted the charges, calling them “offensive and outrageous.” He also charged Cassie with extortion.

His lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said Cassie tried to threaten Diddy with a scathing book about their relationship, asking $30 million (£24 million) to keep quiet.

Cassie’s lawyer, Doug Wigdor, responded by refuting the charges and claiming that Diddy gave the actress an eight-figure payment to quiet her and prevent the lawsuit.

He said “Cassie is not seeking financial gain but rather justice and a voice for victims of abuse”.

The lawsuit also claims Diddy threatened to blow up a car belonging to Kid Cudi, a rapper with whom Cassie was in a relationship at the time.

According to the complaint, Diddy made the threat during Paris Fashion Week in 2012, and Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway shortly after.

Diddy and Cassie began dating in 2007. In 2012, they made their public debut as a couple.

However, the couple split up in 2018 following a fierce dispute.
