Body Lying In Mortuary For Decade Finally Laid To Rest

A deceased body that has been lying in a mortuary for a decade has finally been laid to rest, reports Standard Media.

Mzee Boniface Mugo Kithakwa who died at the age of 90 years old in 2006 was finally laid to rest due to an extended family land dispute.

The dispute was over the deceased brother claiming sole ownership of the five acre family land.

However in a sudden turn of events the High court declared that the land in fact belonged to the deceased.

Speaking with much relief the deceased son, Phillip Muchiri said, “At last we have laid our beloved father to rest.”

Meanwhile a mother of two children at Gakawa village in Kieni drowned her infants before hanging herself.

The woman’s eldest son found the bodies and a hand written suicide letter which indicated she did it due to poverty, feeling she had no one to turn to.
