Where Does Babu Owino Get His Wealth?

Babu Owino’s wealth should be investigated as Kenyans need to know, NACADA chairman John Mututho says.

The University of Nairobi student leader has been pictured carrying a gun and a briefcase full of dollars and Mututho is asking that authorities find out where he got the wealth.

He has called on the Police, Kenya Revenue Authority and the Ethics and Anti Corrupotion Commision EACC to investigate the source of his wealth.

” The source of his wealth needs to be known. Kenyans need to know where he gets all his wealth,” he stated.

He said that reports had placed the university students as being involved in drug abuse and that any connection between Owino and the accusations must be investigated.

” We need to have these issues cleared. At the moment, we have reports that need investigation,” he added.

Owino is currently embroiled in a controversy over whether he won the recent University of Nairobi elections fairly after violence erupted in the wake of his election and the institution was subsequently closed.
