Dangerous striker and Black Stars’ skipper Asamoah Gyan has been dropped as head coach Kwesi Appiah named his Ghana squad that will be facing Uganda in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The Ghana FA also reported that their star player had sustained an injury as well as midfielder Thomas Agyepong while defenders Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah will under some tests in the United States to assess their injuries picked up while featuring for Columbus Crew SC in the Major League Soccer in USA.
Otherwise, the duo remain a major doubt for the trip to Kampala while the Ayew brothers have also been dropped from the Black Stars’ contingent that will take on the Uganda Cranes at Namboole this weekend.
Meanwhile, the team has already arrived in Nairobi, Kenya where they are camping for the preparations ahead of the eagerly awaited fixture.
