Gambia National Arrested For Illegal Migration, Operating Business In Kenya

Police in Isiolo County have arrested a Gambia national for being in the country illegally and operating a fruits shop in Isiolo town.

Police accosted Kanteh Adams, 32, for staying in Kenya six months after expiry of his legal migration documents.

The County police commander Charles Ontita confirmed the arrest and said the suspect will be arraigned in court.

He urged residents to watch out for foreigners who are in the country illegally, saying they could be a security threat.

Meanwhile, Ontita said police in Merti sub-county are pursuing five armed men who are suspected to have killed a 24-year-old Somali herder in Bulesa over the weekend.

He said police suspect Samburu and Rendile herders for the killing of the herdsman who was grazing near a watering point in the area.

He asked residents to provide information about suspects living among them, or strangers who they suspect could be a security risk.
