Narok – Commercial sex workers have flocked into Narok County to cash in on payments to the wheat farmers.
Wheat harvesting is currently on going in Narok and popular entertainments within the county have now been flooded with girls who are eyeing potential targets.
A spot check by News24 revealed that the girls come from as far as Nairobi and Mombasa.
One commercial sex worker who spoke to News24 but declined to be named said that she was expecting to make at least KES 500,000 at the end of the wheat harvesting season.
“We do this every year and after Narok, we will go to Bomet and Kericho Counties when the tea bonuses payment are being done. I am sure that I will make at least KES 500,000 at the end of wheat harvesting season”, she said.
Last week, Narok governor Samuel Ole Tunai expressed concern over the influx of sex workers and called on wheat farmers to be wary of them.
