Outgoing US Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle says that President Muhammadu Buhari’s economic recovery efforts deserve recognition while comparing him favorably to US President Barack Obama, Vanguardreports.
“I see a parallel between President Buhari and President Obama. President Obama had not been in office for very long, but the people had the same kind of impatience.
And I think that in my country a lot of people forgot how difficult the situation was that Obama inherited. I think the same thing is happening to President Buhari – to a certain degree,” Entwistle said.
He added that the poor economic climate that Nigeria finds itself in were a culmination of problems that Buhari inherited such poor infrastructure in the oil sector.
