Kenya: Ababu Namwamba Demands Private Meeting With Raila Odinga

Budalang’i MP, Ababu Namwamba now wants to have a private meeting with the party leader, Raila Odinga.

Ababu demanded for a private meeting with Raila during the ODM Central Committee meeting held in Nairobi Wednesday.

According to sources privy to the matter, the MP apologized for his public outcry and requested to meet the party leader privately, alongside a number of MPs of his own choosing.

Those present in the Wednesday included were Raila Odinga, Chairman John Mbadi, Josephat Nanok (Governor, Turkana), Vice chairperson Paul Otuoma (Funyula MP) and Director of Elections Junet Mohammed.

ODM MPs from western Kenya led by Namwamba are a disgruntled lot. They claim there is a deliberate strategy to sideline them by their counterparts from Nyanza region who think they own the party.
