Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has revealed that he related well with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and his Kabete counter-part Ferdinand Waititu during the four days they were in police custody.
The vocal Senator said contrary to popular opinion he mingled well with the duo after they were thrown to one cell at Pangani Police Station last Tuesday over hate-speech charges.
Deputy President William Ruto during the prayer breakfast laughed off the inclusion of Muthama in the CORD team to negotiate reform of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), noting that his side will include Kuria and Waititu so as to counter him.
“Ruto imagined the two will beat me up. But when we were thrown to the same cell, we got along well, we ate from the same plate with Kuria, I slept on his shoe as my pillow and he did the same, and we relieved ourselves in the same bucket,” said Muthama.
