BREAKING: Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero And Senator Mike Sonko Exchange Blows In Parliament

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko have exchanged blows in Parliament.

The incident took place Wednesday morning at the Senate where the two were attending a Public Accounts Committee meeting.

Sonko, who was clearly angered by assertions by Kidero that he was not doing enough to push through legislation to help the city of Nairobi, in turn called Kidero a murderer, prompting the fist fight between the two.

It was quickly stopped by other members of the Committee who stepped in to stop it from spreading into anarchy.

After the separation, the two were asked to take leave of absence from the Committee sitting to cool down before it continued.

Kidero, who News24 tried to reach after the incident did not comment.

The two, who are both eyeing the Nairobi Governor’s seat in the 2017 elections are not new to public spats, with Kidero previously calling Sonko a drug dealer.

Sonko has also previously haunted Kidero for his altercation with Nairobi Women’s rep Rachel Shebesh in the past with Kidero slapping her.
