Court Remands Jonathan’s Cousin In Kuje Prison

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered that Azibaola Robert, a cousin to former President Goodluck Jonathan, be remanded in Kuje Prison pending the determination of his bail application, reports Punch.

Azibaola and his wife, Stella were arraigned before the court for allegedly receiving a $40m contract from embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

In tis ruling on the their bail applications, Justice Dimgba ruled that Robert should be remamded in prison pending the determination of the bail application.

The judge, however, ruled that Stella could continue to enjoy the administrative bail earlier granted her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The judge adjourned till Wednesday to rule on the bail application for Azibaola
