Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong’s convoy has been confirmed to have been involved in a fatal road crash in the Mikang LGA of the state, Naijreports.
The accident, which claimed the lives of two policemen, is said to have occurred when the two deceased were flung off a vehicle when their driver veered into a corner.
Unaware of the incident, the rest of the convoy is said to have continued with their journey, only being notified later of the incident due to the speed at which they were travelling, View Point Nigeria reports.
Superintendent Abuh Emmanuel, State PR Officer, stated he has yet to received details of the crash from the Divisional Police Officer in Mikang.
