IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu Accuses President Buhari Of Prejudicial Comments

IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of making comments prejudicial to his trial and the bail request he filed before the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal, Vanguard reported.

Kanu’s lawyer said at a media briefing in Abuja,“The moment the President pronounced to the world that Kanu cannot be granted bail by any court, he made my client a political prisoner, and the media chat inadvertently prejudiced the judge’s mind.”

According to All Africa, The lawyer further said that both parties should remain calm and the federal government should refrain from comments that were prejudicial and amounted to giving out orders that would affect the mind of judges.

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja has slated June 21 to commence hearing on N8.5 billion suit the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, filed against the Federal Government of Nigeria, Vanguard reported.
