The Nigerian Army on Friday announced the arrest of four key strategists within terrorist sect Boko Haram, a move that has been described as “unprecedented”.
According to a report by Premium Times, Army Spokesperson Sani Usman revealed that the arrest took place after a tip-off was received by officials.
“Troops of 3 Battalion, of 22 Task Force Brigade have made an unprecedented catch with the arrest of 4 Boko Haram terrorists Ameers (kingpins) at Rann, headquarters of Kala Balge Local Government Area today, Friday 22nd April 2016,” said Usman.
The kingpins, which specialize in various criminal acts, are presently undergoing interrogation under the custody of the troops
