A lone Uhuru highway gunman who has been terrorizing motorists has been shot dead by Police.
The gunman was shot dead Wednesday night after snatching a phone from a motorist and disappearing into Uhuru Park.
After being stopped by Police he refused to comply and was thus shot.
He died on the spot.
The gunman had been reported to be stealing from motorists for over two years.
” He is dead and we are happy to report that he has been terminated,” police boss Japheth Koome told News24.
” The gangster had been operating alone and when he was stopped by Police, he refused,” Koome added.
The man was in his late twenties.
