President Uhuru Kenyatta is unhappy with CORD leader Raila Odinga accusing him of jealousy over his and DP William Ruto’s ICC release.
The President has accused the CORD leader of spoiling Kenya’s name by stating that the International Criminal Court ICC made a mistake by dropping the cases against DP Ruto.
Speaking in France Wednesday, the former Prime Minster told France 24 in an interview that the ICC had erred in dropping the cases and called them a classic case of impunity.
In a rejoinder, the President did not mince his words to the opposition leader.
” Why do some have to act jealous? What is the problem. Do they have to comment on everything?,” he stated.
” It is God who gives people authority and one does not need to falsely accuse others to ascend to power,” he said.
” When I tried and failed the first time in 2002, I accepted defeat and waited and by God’s grace I am now leading the nation,” he added.
The outburst will raise political temperatures as campaigns for the 2017 polls begin in earnest.
