Nigeria: INEC Releases Timetable For Governorship Election In Edo.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has released the guidelines and timetable for the Edo governorship election, which it scheduled for September 10, 2016.

The new Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in Edo State, Sam Olumekun, listed the guidelines on Wednesday in Benin, the state capital.

According to him, party primaries will hold as from June 2 to July 4, 2016 while campaigns will commence on Sunday, June 10 and end on September 8.

Official register of voters for the election will be published on August, 11, 2016.
