CORD leader Raila Odinga is unlikely to attend the thanksgiving party of DP William Ruto.

The CORD leader has been invited to the rally at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru next weekend but according to sources, will not attend since it has been turned into a Jubilee Party launch and political rally.

Raila was open to attending it but now the feeling is that he will walk into a full on Jubilee affair.

” The rally has been turned into a Jubilee Party launch and the Party leader is not likely to attend for obvious reasons,” a source told News24.

Jubilee chiefs are keen to ensure that the Jubilee Party and subsequently the re-election campaign of Ruto and President Kenyatta is launched at the rally.

CORD sent the DP a congratulatory message after his release from the International Criminal Court ICC but attending a rally in their name would be difficult.

” Would the DP and President attend a CORD Presidency launch? Unlikely,” Political Scientist Michael Njenga told News24.

” That would not happen and I thus expect the former PM not to do the same,” he added.
