The death toll in Wednesday’s terrorist in Borno State has risen to 27, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) revealed on Thursday,Naij reports.
The attack, which took place in the small village of Umarari, was precipitated by two female suicide bombers who struck at a mosque in the area.
Mohammed Kanar, Northeast Coordinator for NEMA, confirmed that the death toll rose from 24 following the death of 3 more victims receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Those responsible for the attack have not yet come forward, although many suspect Boko Haram to be behind the atrocity.
