I am quitting Jubilee for good, Governor says.
Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto says that he has no plans to head back to the Jubilee fold and that he will move forward as a personal entity looking for partners along the way.
Ruto has in the last few month gone the KANU way in the Rift and says that he is not going to have any links to a Jubilee government that has let down the people of Kenya.
” I have no links to the Jubilee Coalition. I want nothing to do with them,” he told News24.
” The people of the South Rift as shown in recent polls are seeking a different direction and that is where I am heading to,” he added.
Jubilee leaders in the rift have already threatened Ruto that he will lose his Bomet seat come the 2017 elections but Ruto says he is ready to take it on.
” I am ready to take them on. The people of Bomet have told me they want a different direction and that is where I am taking them,” he added.
Ruto and Deputy President William Ruto have not been seeing eye to eye and Ruto admits there is no love lost.
” We are on different paths,” he adds.
Ruto has already started his own party and says he will be looking to coexist with like thinking partners.
