Jubilee Cannot Lose Kericho, Uhuru Tells Ruto

Nairobi – The Jubilee Coalition cannot afford to lose the Kericho Senate by election, President Uhuru Kenyatta has told DP William Ruto.

The President, it is understood has come out openly in the wake of the ongoing rebellion against the ruling coalition and told the DP that he must suss out a way to ensure Jubilee retains the seat.

The seat is vacant following Charles Keter’s ascension to the cabinet but in a place considered to be Ruto’s turf, Jubilee is currently facing stiff competition from KANU.

The President, it is understood has said that he expects Jubilee to retain the seat at all costs.

” The stakes are high and the President has told DP Ruto to do whatever he can to ensure the seat remains in Jubilee,” a source close to State House

The DP has thus continued to traverse the County which seems to be locked in a two horse race between Jubilee’s Aaron Cheruiyot and KANU’s Paul Sang.

The election will be held March 7.
