An attempt to smuggle an eight-year-old, Ivory Coast boy into Spain from Morocco has been botched.
CNN reports that the boy was found bundled up tightly in a fetal position. A police spokesman said that the boy who is now in Spanish custody was discovered on Thursday in El Tarajal, a terrestrial point of entry at Spain’s border with Morocco.
The smuggling was reportedly an attempt to reunite the boy with his father who is a permanent resident of Spain.
