The Pharaohs of Egypt were the tournament’s title favorite considering their superb performances en route to the final, but they met a more determined Cameroonian side who condemned them to a defeat.
Nigeria will face Cameroon in August 2017 in a 2018 World Cup qualifying duel in Uyo, and here we look at four Cameroonian players that will be difficult to handle for the Super Eagles.
1. Christian Bassogog, Aalborg, Denmark

Christian Bassogog was a joy to watch at the 2017 African Cup of Nations Championship as his electrifying performance in Gabon cannot be overemphasized. The 21-year-old was named the best player of the tournament and he is capable of causing problems for the Super Eagles.
2. Sebastien Siani, Oostende, Belgium

Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel will have to be at his best form in August 2017 for him to be able to stop Oostende of Belgium midfielder Sebastien Siani whose performance at the 2017 AFCON was also superb.
Siani was impressive against Egypt in the final as he exemplified how good he is to the delight of many football faithfuls who watched the encounter.
3. Vincent Aboubakar, Besiktas, Turkey

Vincent Aboubakar was the hero for Cameroon on Sunday, February, 5, 2017 as he scored the second goal that condemned Egypt to a 2-1 defeat in the 2017 AFCON final.
4. Benjamin Moukandjo, Lorient, France

Lorient forward Benjamin Moukandjo is another player that the Super Eagles must be watchful of considering how excellent he is at the flanks. Benjanmin made life difficult for Egyptian defenders in the final, and Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr who watched the final must by now be thinking how his wards will handle him.
