Two men who planned to bomb a Shia prayer hall in Australia and had threatened to stab people in the kidneys have been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Omar Al-Kutobi and Mohammad Kiad pleaded guilty to preparing for a terrorist act over their failed plot to attack the Sydney prayer hall.
New South Wales Supreme Court Justice Peter Garling said on Friday that both men were equal participants in the plot.
Police raided their home last year and found a hunting knife, a machete and a homemade flag associated with the Islamic State group. Police also seized a video in which one of the men threatened to stab the kidneys and necks of their victims.
