A woman allegedly killed her boyfriend when he asked of food from her, Eastern Cape police said on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old man insisted the 49-year-old woman cook something for him to eat shortly after they arrived at their shack in the Skiet informal settlement in Butterworth on Friday evening, Captain Jackson Manatha stated.
“When the girlfriend said that she did not cook, a fight broke out between the two,” Manatha said.
She allegedly stabbed him in the upper body and went to the Butterworth police station to hand herself over to the police.
She was charged with murder and appeared in the Butterworth Magistrate’s Court briefly on Monday.
