Police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane said the 64-year-old woman allegedly plunged to her death at around 09:00.
“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. An inquest docket has been opened for investigation at Durban North SAPS,” said Zwane.
It could not be immediately confirmed if the woman was a guest at the hotel.
