Nollywood filmmaker and actress, Omoni Oboli described the court injunction she received shortly before the premiere of her movie – Okafor’s Law as “the carpet being pulled off from under their feet and the being world suddenly turned upside down”
The court order halted the premiere as well as the release of the movie in cinema. Jude Idada alleged that Omoni carried out a copyright infringement by stealing his story idea for the movie in September 2016 and developed it without ascribing the credit due him.
It’s been a trying week for Omoni but she announced to fans this evening that the injunction has just been lifted and that the film will be showing at Cinemas nationwide. She appreciated everyone who stood by her and prayed for her.
