Travis Scott will release his new album “the world of Utopia” on July 28 during a livestreamed event in front of the historic Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. The event tickets were made accessible before they sold out.
“Utopia” does not yet have a release date, however Scott has made the album available for pre-order. According to the pre-order, there will be five distinct album covers, albeit none have been revealed yet. The Egypt event has been touted as a “unforgettable show that will immerse fans in the world of Utopia,” according to a press release.
Scott’s first full-length album since Astroworld, released in 2018, is Utopia. It also comes two years after the deaths of his 2021 Astroworld music extravaganza. About 50,000 people attended Scott’s Astroworld music festival at NRG Park on November 5th, when the throng pushed towards the stage, producing a crush that killed several individuals, including 9-year-old Ezra Blount, and injured many more.
A Texas grand jury said last month that there was insufficient evidence to indict the rapper or those involved in the crush during the concert. “It is tragic that ten innocent people were killed while attempting to enjoy an evening of music and entertainment, which many of us do on a regular basis and without a second thought to our safety.” However, not every tragedy is a crime, and not every death is a homicide. “The decision of the grand jury has no bearing on the numerous civil lawsuits that are still pending,” District Attorney Kim Ogg stated at a press conference.
