Hollywood star Tom Cruise has allegedly banned ex-wife Nicole Kidman from their son’s wedding.
Connor Cruise (24), a scientologist like his dad, is set to wed his Italian girlfriend, Silvia, in a Scientology ceremony but Nicole won’t be welcome, The Sun reports.
“Tom is behind this and what he wants is as good as law,” a source reportedly told Radar Online.
“Tom made the call and Connor followed.”
Nicole and Tom married in 1990 and later adopted both Connor and his older sister, Isabella (26). When the pair split in 2001, Tom retained custody of the children – who’d been raised in the church of Scientology – and it was reported that they’d chosen to stay with their dad, the Daily Mail reports.
Nicole is rumoured to blame the religion for ruining her marriage and her relationship with her two eldest children.
The Big Little Lies star has in the past refused to speak about the religion or her absence from many of her children’s major life events.
“First, Tom would never even consider inviting Nicole to Connor’s wedding because she’s considered a ‘suppressive person’ by the church – and second, he doesn’t want her there,” the insider said.

According to Scientology.org, a suppressive person (SP) is someone who seeks to suppress other people in their vicinity. An SP will vilify any effort to help anybody and particularly anything calculated to make human beings more powerful or more intelligent.
Nicole, who has been married to country music star Keith Urban since 2006, is also mom to daughters Sunday Rose (10) and Faith (8).
In a recent interview with Who magazine, Nicole addressed her strained relationship with her older kids, saying: “They’re able to make their own decisions. They’ve made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother it’s my job to love them.”
