Tik taxi bust in the Northern Cape

Cape Town – A man travelling in a minibus taxi to Keimoes was allegedly found with Tik (methamphetamine) in his luggage, Northern Cape police said on Monday.

Officials got a tip-off that the man was making his way from Cape Town.

Lieutenant Sergio Kock said police stopped the vehicle on the R27.

After searching the taxi on Saturday morning, Kock said they found drugs with an estimated street value of R330 000.

The 37-year-old man was expected to appear in court soon.
