Rongo University College administration has approved the registration of Team Mafisi Sacco.
The organisation has been formed by a group of students to advocate for behavioural change in the campus.
According to the organisation chairman Mr. Juma, they chose the sensational name to make them easily identifiable.
The name Team Mafisi has been linked to men who have a high affinity for women.
Their behavior towards women is similar to hyenas’ gluttony hence the name Mafisi (hyenas in Kiswahili).
The organisation, under the Rongo University College Students Union (RUCSU) aims at sensitizing youths within the institution to avoid drugs and unprotected sex.
They also distribute condoms in the hostels to both male and female students.
