Several people have been feared dead while others are trapped when a fuel tanker exploded around Mowe-Ibafo, Ogun State on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Nation reports.
The incident which occurred at about 1am on Wednesday was said to have affected mostly residents who went to scoop petrol from a fallen tanker.
Many motorists were said to have abandoned their vehicles as the inferno spread and consumed many vehicles.
This is coming two days after 19 people died in a multiple crash at the Fidiwo/Ajebo end of the expressway.
The accident according to News24 involved a fully loaded commercial bus, a fuel tanker and a Dangote truck.
It was learnt that the tanker, which was travelling to Ibadan, Oyo State, had attempted to overtake the Dangote truck, when it had a head-on collision with the commercial bus.
