Sudan Welcomes Reconciliation Agreement With Qatar

Sudan on Tuesday welcomed the results of the 41st Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit held in Saudi Arabia which ended the rift with Qatar.

“Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been following the ongoing developments and what has been achieved of a breakthrough in the intra-relations of the GCC member states, including the decision by Saudi Arabia to open its air, and land and sea borders with Qatar,” the ministry said in a statement.

“The Gulf wisdom is needed at this phase as it is entrusted with the interests of the GCC states and the aspirations of its citizens; and it is qualified and prepared to bring relations between these countries to the highest levels, which is what the ministry hopes the outcome of the summit will reflect,” it added.
