Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha are engaged.
Mampintsha popped the question live on Gagasi FM’s drive show on Thursday afternoon. In a clip shared on Instagram, the couple is sitting next to each other in studio before Mampintsha pulls a ring out of his pocket, gets down on one knee and pops the question.
“I would like to say, I, Shimora Mr Mandla Maphumulo, it’s been a long time, we have been together for many years,” the musician says as he puts the ring on Babes’ finger.

Sharing the clip on her own Instagram account, Babes wrote: “Within a blink of an eye and now I’m left speechless, the journey wasn’t easy, but we stuck together through thick and thin.”

The couple has had a troubled past, first drawing attention from the public in 2018 when Babes alleged in a Metro FM interview that Mampintsha had physically abused her.
In 2019, the situation escalated when a video surfaced online in which Mampintsha appeared to physically assault Babes.
