South Africa: Unemployed Masters Graduate Tweets His CV And Gets A Life-Changing Job Offer

If you think Twitter is nothing but a tool for procrastination, think again. This University of Johannesburg graduate has hustled his way into work with self-made millionaire Gayton McKenzie.

A desperate Xhanti Dyonase posted his C.V on the social media platform, hoping that just one person would pick up on it. It did SO MUCH better than that.

His post – which has since been removed so no-one can steal his fire application skills – was shared by thousands of South Africans online, which drove his Twitter handle to the top of the trending topics.

Now THAT is how you stand out from a crowd.

Gayton McKenzie was a convicted criminal in his younger days, but he built ‘Hustler’s Empire’ – focusing on publishing, fashion and film – to turn his life around. He says his own background inspired him to give Dyonase a shot.

A very public interview… How Xhanti scored himself a new job:

Dyonase could not hide his delight when asked about the pleasantly surprising offer from McKenzie. Clearly, the boy wants work and has got his just rewards:

“This was the best news I have ever received. I have not had a job for a whole year, no matter how many times I sent my applications out. I was shocked and excited at the same time … I mean, I had was offered a job just like that.”

The technology graduate is looking forward to starting work under McKenzie, and he now has a chance to make enough money to look after his family.

Don’t you just love a happy ending?
