Actor Tumisho Masha and Zozibini Mtongana after three years of separation have finalised their divorce.
The couple’s divorce has not been easy, as it has involved a lengthy court battle over assault allegations.
“After a tumultuous three-year separation with Zozibini Mtongana, our divorce was made final on August 2 2019,” shared the 43-year-old actor in a statement, posted on social media.
In 2016, charges of assault were laid against Masha by Mtongana. The charges were withdrawn but a year later the National Prosecuting Authority reinstated the charges.
Masha, last year was acquitted of the charges.
Despite the couple’s troubles they will continue to co-parent their 4-year-old daughter Zinathi and “remain civil to each other to ensure that as parents we give our daughter the love and care she needs”.
In his statement, the actor thanked his new partner Chantal and his family “for their unwavering support during this very challenging separation”.
