MultiChoice CEO Calvo Mawela has guaranteed “proper activity” after an examination concerning the Ashwin Willemse SuperSport walkout show is finished.
In an occurrence that shook South African rugby, Willemse strolled off the SuperSport set amid a live communicate on Saturday, denouncing kindred experts Nick Mallett and Naas Botha of belittling him.
SuperSport have recognized the occurrence and are propelling an examination, and Mawela said on Monday that they would manage the result.
“SuperSport has taken note of the strong public sentiment and we take this matter seriously. Whatever the findings, appropriate action will be taken to remedy the situation,” Mawela said in a SuperSport statement.
SuperSport have also acknowledged the comments from SA Minister of Sport Thokozile Xasa in which she called for Mallett and Botha to be suspended.
The broadcaster has confirmed that it will engage with the minister’s office on the issue.
“Prejudice of any sort will not be tolerated by SuperSport,” the statement concluded.
