Five men were killed in a collision involving two cars in Pretoria on Thursday morning, paramedics said.
Four of the men were found lying across the road after their car was ripped to pieces on the R21 south near the Nellmapius offramp, ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said.
It was not exactly clear what happened, but the car apparently collided with a barrier. The fifth person was found in the car. All of them died before paramedics arrived. They were aged between 25 and 35.
The driver of the second car involved, an Audi Q7, was found walking around the scene with minor injuries. His car came to a halt on its roof.
