A Kenyan pastor has pulled a bold move after filing a suit at the Milimani Law Courts against 90 high profile Kenyan and global individuals.
Reverend John Mbugua on Monday submitted the case against former Presidents Daniel Moi, Mwai Kibaki and United States (US) Presidential candidates Donald Trump,Hillary Clinton among others.
The man of the cloth who claims to have been displaced during the 2007/08 Post Election Violence accuses Moi of having mismanaged and paralysed the country through ‘iron fist’ rule when he was Head of State.
As such, he argues that the former President should return all benefits accrued under the Retired President Benefits Acts since he relinquished power in 2002 since the Act had been declared null and void by the court.
For Mr Kibaki, the cleric is accusing him of having witnessed various atrocities while serving under Moi as the Vice President.
“He nearly signed all detention orders as VP and Minister for Home Affairs in charge of prisons,” states the court papers.
Also enjoined in the case is Trump, US Republican candidate, accused of threatening to deport immigrants if elected President with Mr Mbugua maintaining his statements will “amount to a catastrophe worse than world War I and ll.”
The cleric who filed the case among 23 other litigants also took issue with the Judiciary’s recent auction of high-end vehicles which were sold at throw away prices.
According to the them, the department wasted taxpayers money for buying the vehicles at millions and later disposing them for as low as hundreds of thousands.
The group has also listed her majesty Queen Elizabeth II of England and former Attorney GeneralCharles Njonjo as defendants over various historical injustices.
Others included in the case are the Government, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed, former US President George Bush, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and Israeli Embassy which Mbugua claims harassed him by taking his fingerprints in the pretext that he was a terrorist.
