The road to WrestleMania has officially Started with one of the most anticipated Royal Rumble’s in years.
Rollins entered the Rumble at No.10, outlasted a stellar field with surprises and NXT Superstars – including new North American champion Johnny Gargano and former NXT champion Aleister Black – before finally eliminating Braun Strowman, after a battle on the ring apron.
That ensures Rollins gains a guaranteed title shot at WrestleMania with presumably the Universal Title, successfully defended by Brock Lesnar earlier in the night – as his target.
Rollins was hotly tipped by bookmakers before the Rumble and with his recent stellar showings on Raw – along with his popularity with the WWE Universe – victory was seemingly written in the stars.

Having previously crossed paths at Wrestlemania 31 when Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the WWE World Heavyweight title, we should see a more full bloodied, longer clash this time round between two of the promotions top superstars.
