The tennis pro has taken a leaf out of Mariah Carey’s book!
Serena Williams is no stranger to Meghan and her hubby, Prince Harry, but the Grand Slam champion joked about not knowing bff Meghan during a video chat with Naomi Campbell, Mail Online reports.
The 38-year-old remained coy when the British supermodel asked her if she was delighted by Meghan’s relocation to Los Angeles in a recent video chat.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, don’t know nothing about that,” she responded when the question came up on Naomi’s YouTube series No Filter with Naomi.
“Never seen her, never heard of her, don’t know her,” she insisted, copying an iconic line used by legendary singer Mariah Carey.
Serena and her sister, Venus, joined the model for the episode which focused on lockdown antics, fashion and the royals.
It’s not the first time the tennis pro has avoided speaking about her bff, according to People.
Earlier this year Serena was asked about Meghan and Harry’s decision to step down from their roles as senior members of the royal family, which she also tactfully dodged.
