DP William Ruto must and will quit the Jubilee Party after the 2017 General Elections, an MP has said.
Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter says that the party will naturally break apart after the elections once President Uhuru Kenyatta wins a second term.
Keter says that the DP must thus form his own identity after the polls and not rely on what helped another man make it to power.
“The DP must and I believe will quit Jubilee after the 2017 elections to form his own vessel,” he said.
“The reality is that the current Jubilee Party will not last long after the President assumes his second term. His work will be done. Focus will be on 2022 and the DP will be on his own,” he added.
The Jubilee Party has already been accused by some of being solely there to help DP Ruto to power in 2022 with many still opposing its formation on those grounds and thus a return to URP cannot be understated.
“The DP had his own identity before the 2013 elections. He will need it back come 2022,” he feels.
