Rema, Nasty C, CKay to Headline Music Festival in South Africa

The Afrobeats singers Rema and CKay are slated to headline South Africa’s ‘Hey Neighbour’ global music event.

Hey Neighbour, the event organizers, announced on Thursday that the festival will be hosted in collaboration with Heineken.

According to the statement, the beer firm would create an atmosphere for participants to “revel in the good times and create lasting memories.”

“Heineken’s engagement in the Hey Neighbour Festival aims to infuse an unparalleled sense of joy and togetherness. Through various activations and experiences, the brewer is set to enrich the festival, creating an environment where attendees can truly revel in the good times and create lasting memories,” the statement reads in part.

“Bringing together music enthusiasts from around the world, attendees will immerse themselves in the magic of live performances, explore diverse cultures, relish delicious food, and partake in a variety of engaging social activities.”

The organisers said the concert will host famous entertainers like Rema, CKay, Nasty C, Focalistic, and Musa Keys.

Other artistes to perform at the festival include H.E.R., Sauti Sol, Khalid, Uncle Waffles, and Mi Casa.

Marcel Swain, marketing head at Heineken South Africa, described the festival to journalists as “a vibrant celebration of good times, connections, and the joy of shared experiences.”

He stated that the festival is “not just about music for Heineken,” but also an opportunity to commemorate the brewery’s 150th anniversary.

Nabil Nasser, the global head at Heineken, said: “Heineken exists to spark connections beyond barriers. We are therefore proud to partner with the Hey Neighbour festival with the ambition of turning strangers into Neighbours”.

“This is why we are bringing our consumers and customers across the African continent to this festival in South Africa to celebrate our 150 years of delivering good times,” he added.

The festival is to be held between December 8 and 10, at the Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria.
