Police Officers Reshuffled To Boost Security

Senior police officers in Nyeri town have been reshuffled to tackle rising cases of insecurity in the area.

There has been a series of robberies and other criminal activities driven by armed gangs.

Former Nyeri town OCPD, Charles Rotich has been replaced by Masai Makau while the Officer Commanding the Central Police Station has also been moved though yet to be replaced.

The County police commander Eunice Kihiko also said the Divisional Criminal Investigation Officer (DCIO) has also been affected but the replacement has not been confirmed.

“The changes will beef up security in the town and also in the CDB,” Kihiko said.
