PDP Urges Amaechi Not To Resign Until…

The Rivers state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the Minister of Transportation and former governor of the state, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, to disregard the calls for his resignation over the 2016 budget controversy.

The party made its position known in a statement signed by the chairman of the Rivers state PDP, Felix Obuah on Tuesday.

He noted that Amaechi had boasted of funding the election of President Muhammadu Buhari, hence he should stay in government till he recoups all the money he spent on the election.

While noting that Amaechi is a cog in the wheel of progress, Obuah further stated that the Minister is known for tearing houses apart and setting brother against brother.
