ODM MPs are worried by the apparent ‘disappearance’ of Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba.
Ababu has been quiet over the last eight months as regards activities to do with his parent party the ODM.
Ababu, who is the Secretary general has rarely been seen in senior meetings at Orange House and nor has he been seen for example in the ongoing CORD protests over the IEBC.
MPs who spoke to News24 on condition they not be named sated that his disappearing act was not boding well for the party ahead of the 2017 General Elections.
” Ababu has not been attending meetings, nor has he been seen to be enthusiastic about the party,” the MP says.
” His behaviour is causing jitters within the party,” the MP told News24.
Another stated that his absence was only helping the Jubilee Coalition.
” The reality is that the slower we move, the more Jubilee gains,” thr MP added.
Ababu was spotted in Kisii Monday during CORD anti IEBC protests but has hidden away from the ODM limelight. His reasons are yet to be known.
