I do not support Raila Odinga, an MP has said, months after been seen to support the CORD leader and his activities.
Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter says that despite having a number of initiatives and beliefs in common with the former Prime Minister, he has no and never has had plans to fully support him.
He says that his allegiance is with DP William Ruto and the Jubilee Coalition.
” We have had interests in common but that does not mean I support him. I have always supported DP Ruto and that has not and will not change,” he said.
He continued that his support for the DP has always been top notch despite disagreeing on a number of issues.
” It is true we have disagreed on a number of issues but that does not mean I do not agree with him wholeheartedly. If I disagree with my wife it does not mean I’m leaving her,” he added.
Keter expects the Jubilee Coalition to be in power come the 2017 polls.
” All indications are that it will be a win for us come the polls and that is all we are working towards,” he added.
Keter has in the last one year criticised the Jubilee Coalition over a number of issues but in the wake of the end of the ICC trial in which the DP was involved, he has come out to state his loyalty to the government side.
